This is no doubt my pride and joy. I have never drew anything this good before and it was a real step up. I had a plan for the whole thing not knowing how long it would take me. It was well worth the time, however. The story behind it is a pianist is having a sort of writers block. He can't get any music written down and his inspiration is fading away. I did everything in black and white except for the poster on the wall to represent this fade. It's as if his inspiration is the color and there is only the little that is left on the poster. I also made the blur as your eyes leave the picture. This is because not only is the pianist loosing inspiration but also when he looks away from his piano everything is unclear. I'm not sure if I captured the story like I wanted too but I really do like this piece.

This was a doodle I did during a Student Council Retreat. There was a piece of paper and a pencil and I just couldn't resist. It has it's imperfections but like I said it was just a doodle. I like the concept and I hope that one day I will do a larger and more accurate version.

This Drawing makes me smile every time I see it. I love it a lot. What I was trying to create was two different kinds of music trying to out do one another. The left is happy up beat sounding music that has happy sounding instruments. I chose the trumpet to represent that type of instrument. The sun is the happiness as is the color choice. The shapes are rounder and softer as well. The lines of sheet music divide the two to create a boundary. The right side is meant to be hard, rock music that is a little darker. The instruments have a deeper sound and I chose the electric guitar to represent that. The cloud is dark as are the colors and the lines on that side are sharper and more defined..... I think it makes me smile because they both look like they are just trying so hard. :)

This was one I did during the summer. I used paint after I drew it out in pencil. I enjoy the color it has and all the different shapes. I took some different ideas from some other pictures I had seen before and kind of put them all together. I wish i would have used an orange for the back ground because it would have made the picture pop a lot more. Though other than that, there really isn't anything I would change.

I drew this for a good friend of mine a few years ago. The picture is kind of dark but its one of my favorites. It didn't take me too long to do. I wish I would have drew too so that I could have two copies. I also wish I would have done it on bigger paper. This drawing is important to me because before it I did a lot of cartoon type drawings because it was my comfort zone really. Then when my friend asked me to draw him Batman I had to go beyond. I don't know if he knows how much it meant to me to draw this, but I do hope he enjoys it as much as I enjoy the lesson it taught me.

I did this a while ago really but I still love to look at it. I really liked how I did the leaves. They all combine together and the transformation is interesting. I do wish i did the "Sayde" part differently. I like the colors I chose but it just doesn't really go with the rest of the piece.

During the summer I still do my own projects. I was flipping through some of my old drawings and found this flower. It was only in pencil at the time and I thought throwing in a little color. I hadn’t done anything with water colors before so I thought I would give it a try. Looking at the end result I think it turned out very well. I like everything about it and I really don’t think I would want to change much about it. I would however like it on a larger piece of paper. Although other than that I found this project to be very successful
